Is This You?

Honest check. Is this the right fit?

The right people thrive here. The wrong people burn out. Here’s which one you are.

Fits you if…

  • You're comfortable on the phone
  • You're competitive and motivated by goals
  • You can take 'no' and keep going
  • You want a white-collar career with commission
  • You want a real paycheck in 6.75 weeks

Probably not if…

  • You hate cold-calling or rejection
  • You want guaranteed hourly with no variable pay
  • You prefer physical, outdoor work
  • You can't handle quotas or pressure

Frequently Asked

Tech Sales questions, answered.

  • What's OTE?

On-Target Earnings — your total expected income when you hit quota (base salary + commission). For an entry BDR/SDR in tech, OTE is typically $50-70K. If you blow past quota, you earn above OTE. If you miss, you earn just the base (~$45-55K).

  • How does commission actually work?

Every BDR/SDR has a quota — usually a number of meetings booked or deals advanced per month. Each qualifying action pays a commission ($100-500 each). Hit quota and you earn 100% of target commission. Beat quota and accelerators kick in — some months you earn 2-3x target.

  • Can I work remote?

Yes — a huge portion of BDR/SDR jobs are remote or hybrid. You can work from Alabama for SaaS companies in SF, NYC, or Austin. Telecom roles like AT&T often have in-office expectations but many are now hybrid.

  • Do I need to be extroverted?

No, but you need to be comfortable on the phone. Many top sales reps are introverts who prep scripts and follow frameworks. Sales is 80% skill and discipline, 20% personality. We teach the skill.

  • What's the fastest promotion path?

Most BDR/SDRs promote to Account Executive in 12-18 months. Strong performers move faster. AE to Senior AE takes another 2-3 years. Sales Manager or specialized vertical roles come after that.

  • What if I can't hit quota?

Honest answer: some people wash out. Quota cultures are real. But good managers coach you through ramp-up for the first 60-90 days. If you don't hit quota by month 6, most companies have performance conversations. Our training is designed to get you hitting quota early.

  • Is this phone-heavy?

Yes — expect 40-80 calls a day as a BDR/SDR. Plus emails and LinkedIn outreach. It's not for everyone. But most grads find the work rhythmic and goal-oriented once they get past the first 2 weeks.

  • Can I switch to tech sales from a different industry?

Yes — career switchers make up a huge chunk of tech sales. If you've done any customer-facing work (retail, hospitality, service industry), you already have transferable skills. Our program bridges the gap.
